Generate settings via AI

Discover how to harness AI to create unique and engaging settings for stories, games, or creative projects effortlessly.

Write the setting you want in everyday words and ONE turns it into an MDM configuration profile for your Apple devices. Use it when no ready-made control covers what you need and you have no profile file to hand.

Feature/Functionality

Overview

This control works on Apple devices only:

macOS Windows Linux iOS / iPadOS Android
✅     ✅

ONE builds a standard Apple .mobileconfig profile from your description. The result:

  • Relies on native Apple MDM payloads.
  • Can be checked and changed before it goes out.
  • Reaches devices the same way as every other Factorial IT control.

How to use

  1. Go to MDM > Controls > Add new control and pick Generate settings via AI.
  2. Write what you want the devices to do. Some examples:
  • "Disable Bluetooth on all devices"
  • "Set the DNS servers to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8"
  • "Enable automatic screen lock after 2 minutes of inactivity"
  1. Check the profile that Factorial IT shows you before anything is deployed.
  2. Change any value that is not quite right.
  3. Choose the target: every device, specific device groups or a custom target.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Always read the generated profile first. An AI-built configuration may need tweaks for your environment.
  • Start small. Push it to a small group of devices, check it behaves, then widen the target.
  • Name the setting and the value. "Lock the screen after 2 minutes" works better than "make devices more secure".
  • Give context when it matters, such as "for shared devices" or "for the sales team".
  • Rewrite and generate again if the first attempt misses the mark.
  • Already have a .mobileconfig file? Deploy it with the Custom file control instead.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

Troubleshooting

  • The profile does not match what you asked for. Make the description more precise, with the exact setting and value, and generate it again. You can also fix the values by hand before deploying.
  • The control does not appear for Windows, Linux or Android devices. It only produces Apple profiles, so it applies to macOS, iOS and iPadOS.

FAQ

  1. What kind of file does ONE produce?
A standard Apple .mobileconfig profile built from native Apple MDM payloads.

  2. Can I edit the result before it is deployed?
Yes. You review it and can adjust any setting before choosing the target.

  3. Is it deployed differently from other controls?
No. Once saved, it reaches devices like any other Factorial IT control.

  4. What if I already have a profile file?
Use the Custom file control to upload it as it is.
