In the Time > Attendance section, permissions define what actions users can perform related to time tracking and attendance management. These permissions control access to viewing, editing, and approving attendance data, ensuring that each role has the appropriate level of access.

Employees must be assigned to the corresponding permissions group for attendance permissions to apply.
How to set up your Attendance permissions
- In your sidebar, go to Settings
- Click on Permissions
- Select the Attendance section
- Enable or disable the permission
- Click on Save changes

This permissions let you choose the specific scope of a permission: deciding who a user is allowed to perform a the action on.
- For themselves: Only on their own profile/data.
- For direct and indirect reportees: On employees who report to them, directly or through a hierarchy.
- For people on teams they lead: Only on members of teams they manage.
- For people in their legal entity: Anyone in their department, branch, or company entity.
- For the whole company: Across all employees in the organisation.

Autofill timesheet
This permission, allows the employees inside the specific group of permissions, to fill the timesheet for all the previous blank shifts automatically. Then you need to configure it from the time tracking policy.

Can access calendar
This permission, allows the employees inside the specific group of permissions, to access the calendar from the sidebar menu.

Add and edit shifts and breaks
This permission, allows the employees inside the specific group of permissions to add or edit shifts and breaks. (Only can be added and edited on unapproved timesheets).

Clock in, clock out
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to clock in and clock out from the home page. If it is not enabled, the option to clock in will not be displayed.

Create overtime requests
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to create Overtime requests. (Can only be created on unapproved timesheets. Then, you have to configure it from the policy.

Delete shifts and breaks
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to delete shifts and breaks from the time tracking shifts, but only can be removed from unapproved timesheets.

Manual allocation of hours
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to manually allocate available hours to compensation methods at any time from employee timesheet.
You can choose the scope of this permission.

Review and approve time shifts
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to approve time shifts. Then, you have to configure it from the time tracking policy. Learn how to do it here.

To approve or reject timesheets and approve overtime pay, the user must have permission to See time tracking data.

See ‘clocked in’ and ‘on break’ filter
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to see in the employee status filter, which employees have clocked in or are on a break.
You can choose the scope of this permission.

Review and approve timesheets
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to approve or reject timesheets and approve overtime pay.
The user must have permission to See time tracking data.

See real time attendance widget
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to see the employees clock in status in the dashboard real time attendance widget.

This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to access the details and version history of each shift in the employee timesheet.

See time tracking data
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to access time tracking data from employee timesheets as well as the dedicated section.
Enable this permission for Review and approve timesheets to work.

View annual timesheet data
This permission allows employees within the selected permission group to see annual totals for maximum legal hours and hours worked on the employee's timesheet.
