Do it with One: "List all feedback given last quarter with manager-only visibility."
The Feedbacks template in AI Reports builds a ready-made dashboard that shows how much feedback people share, who gives and receives it, and which way it flows between managers, direct reports and peers. HR teams use it to measure feedback adoption (sometimes called feedback analytics or a feedback report) and spot teams where feedback isn't happening.
Before you start
- Feedback analytics in AI Reports is available to admins only.
- The dashboard counts all feedback in the company, whatever its visibility.
Steps
Create the Feedbacks dashboard (admin)
- In the sidebar, click AI Reports.
- In Select a template, search for "feedback".
- On the Feedbacks template, click Use.
- Use the date selector to choose the period.
- Optional: filter by Receiver's teams, Receiver's manager, Receiver's job title, Receiver's workplace or Receiver's legal entity.
What the Feedbacks dashboard shows
| Item | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Feedbacks given | Number of feedbacks written in the period. A feedback sent to several people counts once. |
| People giving feedback | Different people who gave at least one feedback. |
| People receiving feedback | Different people who received at least one feedback. |
| Managers giving feedback to their team | Managers who gave feedback to their direct reports. |
| Feedbacks visible to the manager only | Feedback with the visibility Manager only. |
| Feedbacks given by feedback direction | Chart split into Manager to direct report, Direct report to manager, and Peer or other. |
| Feedback from managers to their direct reports | Table of manager-to-report feedback. |
| People receiving feedback by team / People giving feedback by team | Charts by team. |
| All feedbacks received | Table with Receiver, Feedback given at, Author, Feedback direction, Feedback visibility and Receiver's teams. |
Rules and behavior
- If a feedback is sent to several people, then Feedbacks given counts it once, and All feedbacks received shows one row per receiver.
- If the author was the receiver's manager on the day the feedback was given, then the direction is Manager to direct report. If the receiver was the author's manager, then it's Direct report to manager. Everything else is Peer or other.
- Teams, managers, job titles, workplaces and legal entities are taken as they were on the day the feedback was given. Names are current names.
- Deleted feedback isn't included.
Limitations
- You can't edit or delete feedback from the dashboard.
Troubleshooting
- Symptom: "I can't find the Feedbacks template." → Cause: feedback analytics is available to admins only, on the Business and Enterprise plans. → Fix: ask an admin.
- Symptom: "Feedbacks given is lower than the number of rows in the table." → Cause: a feedback sent to several people counts once in Feedbacks given but has one row per receiver. → Fix: none; this is expected.
