You can now share specific Analytics dashboards with any employee in your company, without giving them admin access. Recipients can view the dashboard and all its data using the filters you've configured, while you stay in control of who has access and can revoke it at any time.
Overview
The dashboard-sharing feature allows admins to give individual employees read-only access to specific Analytics dashboards.
Previously, Analytics dashboards were only available to admins. Sharing dashboard information with other employees required granting them full admin access. With this feature, you can share a dashboard with the right people without changing their role or permissions elsewhere in Factorial.
When you share a dashboard:
- Access is limited to the selected dashboard. Recipients can view the dashboard you've shared, but they don't gain access to other dashboards or admin features through this sharing action.
- Dashboard data is visible as configured. Recipients can see all the data included in the shared dashboard, regardless of their existing permissions in Factorial.
- Filters remain under your control. Recipients see the dashboard with the filters you've configured and cannot change them.
- Access is manageable. Admins can check who has access to a dashboard and revoke access whenever necessary.
Recipients can view the dashboard but cannot edit it or ask One questions about it yet.
When and why to use it
Use dashboard sharing when you want to give employees visibility into specific business metrics without granting them broader access to Factorial.
For example:
- Share a team performance dashboard with a manager.
- Give relevant employees read-only access to workforce analytics.
- Share business metrics with colleagues who need the information but don't need admin permissions.
- Keep stakeholders informed while maintaining control over dashboard access and filters.
This feature is especially useful when you want to make Analytics insights available to more people while keeping dashboard configuration and access management under admin control.
How to use
- In your sidebar, go to Analytics
- Find the dashboard you want to share. You can share a dashboard from either:
- The Analytics dashboard
- The dashboard itself
- Click on Share > Share access at the top
- Select the recipients
- Review your selection carefully, as recipients will be able to see all the dashboard data included in the shared view, regardless of their existing permissions in Factorial.
- Confirm the sharing action.
- The selected employees will receive read-only access to that specific dashboard, with the filters configured by the admin
- As an admin, check the dashboard's sharing settings to see which employees have access
- You can revoke access whenever someone no longer needs to view the dashboard.

Recipients currently have read-only access. They can see all the data included in the dashboard as configured by the admin, regardless of their existing permissions in Factorial. They cannot edit the dashboard or change its filters. An admin must manage the dashboard configuration.
Tips and best practices
- Choose recipients carefully. Shared dashboards include all the data visible in the configured dashboard, regardless of each recipient's existing permissions in Factorial.
- Review dashboard filters before sharing. Recipients see the dashboard with the filters you've configured and cannot change them.
- Share only the dashboards people need. Access applies to the specific dashboard you select, not to Analytics as a whole.
- Review access regularly. Check who can view each dashboard and revoke access when it is no longer needed.
- Remember that access is read-only. Recipients can view the shared dashboard but cannot edit it or ask One questions about it yet.
