Features are optional parts of a performance review that you turn on per review: action plans, competency assessment, potential score and review edits. You choose them in the New review wizard or later in Edit > Features. Some can only change before launch.
Before you start
- Require electronic signature only appears if your company has e-signature (Signaturit) in its plan.
- Include competency assessment needs competencies assigned to jobs in your job catalog.

Step by step
- Go to Performance > Reviews and open the review.
- Click Edit at the top right.
- Open Features.
- Turn each feature on or off. Changes save immediately.
- To require e-signature, turn on Allow action plans, then turn on Require electronic signature ("Make action plans legally binding with Signaturit.").
Rules and behavior
- If you turn off Allow action plans, then Require electronic signature is turned off too.
- If a review is Finished, then no feature can be changed.
- If a review is Active, then Include competency assessment and Add potential score are locked.
- If Include competency assessment is on, then the competencies are fixed per person when the review launches. Later changes to the job catalog don't change evaluations already created.
- If Allow review edits is off, then reviewers can't change their answers after clicking Submit.
Limitations
- You can't add competency assessment or potential score to a review that has already launched.
- You can't use e-signature without the e-signature feature in your plan.
- You can't turn on action plans for peer or direct report reviews only. Action plans compare the self review and manager review.
Troubleshooting
- Symptom: "I don't see Require electronic signature." → Cause: your company doesn't have e-signature, or Allow action plans is off. → Fix: turn on Allow action plans; if it still doesn't appear, ask your admin about e-signature.
- Symptom: "The competency questions are empty for some people." → Cause: their job has no competencies assigned. → Fix: assign competencies to the job before launch. See Competencies in performance reviews.

1. Are action plans on by default?
Yes. New reviews have Allow action plans on.
2. Can I turn on review edits in the middle of a review?
Yes, while the review is Active.
3. Can templates store these features?
Yes. Custom templates have their own Features settings.
