Analyse performance data with One Analytics

Do it with One: "How did review scores change by team?"

One Analytics (also called AI analytics or AI reports) lets you ask questions about your Performance data in plain language and turn the answers into dashboards. It covers performance reviews, evaluations, review answers, competency assessments, feedback and incentive plan payouts, and you can combine them with people data such as teams, managers and leavers. One Analytics is for admins only.

Before you start

  • One Analytics and Performance analytics are for admins only.
  • Incentive plan data is available only on the Enterprise plan.

Steps

Open a Performance dashboard from the Performance module

  1. Go to Performance.
  2. In the module header, select Performance analytics.
  3. Choose a template marked Default template (for example Performance reviews, Competencies or Feedbacks), or a saved dashboard, which shows when it was last updated.
  4. Select See all dashboards to see every dashboard you can open.

Ask a question or build a report

  1. Go to Analytics.
  2. Select Create a report.
  3. Ask a question in your own words, for example "How did review scores change by team?", or start from a template in Select a template.
  4. Review the answer. One shows the figures, explains what stands out and can turn the answer into a dashboard.
  5. Ask follow-up questions, for example "Break this down by manager" or "Show only the Sales team".
  6. Save the dashboard to come back to it later. The charts use the latest data each time you open them.

Explore which Performance data is available

  1. Go to Analytics > Create a report.
  2. Open Our data catalog.
  3. Look for the Performance categories: Performance review, Performance review participant, Performance review evaluation, Performance review answer, Competency assessment, Feedback, Incentive plan, Incentive plan payout and Incentive plan payout breakdown.

Rules and behavior

  • If you're not an admin, then you don't see Performance analytics or One Analytics.
  • If your company's plan doesn't include incentive plans, then incentive plan data and the Incentive plans template don't appear.
  • If a review is archived, then its data is kept and marked as archived.
  • Review answers appear only for submitted evaluations.
  • Performance and competency averages are shown on a 0–100 scale so that reviews with different scales can be compared.
  • If a question is ambiguous, for example it could mean several measures, then One asks you to clarify before running it.

Limitations

  • Performance data isn't available in the legacy Insights (legacy) reports or the old AI Reports datasets.
  • One Analytics doesn't change data, except for actions you explicitly confirm on a finding, such as enrolling people in a training.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: "I don't see Performance analytics in the Performance header." → Cause: Performance analytics is for admins only. → Fix: Ask an admin.
  • Symptom: "The scores are 0–100, not our 1–5 scale." → Cause: One Analytics normalizes scores to compare reviews. → Fix: Divide accordingly, or ask One to "show the score on the review's scale" for a specific review.
  • Symptom: "One's answer doesn't match what I expected." → Cause: The question was interpreted differently (period, team, measure). → Fix: Name the review, period and measure explicitly.
