Tasks permissions in Factorial allow you to control who can edit tasks across the organisation. By defining clear permission levels, you ensure that the right people have access to the right actions, keeping workflows organised, secure, and efficient.

Employees must be assigned to the corresponding permissions group for contracts permissions to apply.
How to set up your Tasks permissions
- In your sidebar, go to Settings
- Click on Permissions
- Select the Tasks section
- Enable or diable permissions
- Click on Save changes

This permission lets you choose the specific scope of a permission in Factorial: deciding who a user is allowed to perform a the action on.
- For themselves: Only on their own profile/data.
- For direct and indirect reportees: On employees who report to them, directly or through a hierarchy.
- For people on teams they lead: Only on members of teams they manage.
- For people in their legal entity: Anyone in their department, branch, or company entity.
- For the whole company: Across all employees in the organisation.

Can edit tasks
This permission allows the employees inside the specific group of permissions to modify existing tasks. Users with this access can update task details such as the title, description, due date, assignee, status, and priority.
