The Compensation tab in Financial Workspace allows you to visualize and compare the evolution of up to 3 payroll concepts simultaneously in the chart, making it easier to identify trends, patterns, and imbalances across different compensation elements.
Before you start
To view data in the Compensation tab, payroll summaries must have been uploaded to Factorial. If no payroll file has been uploaded, the chart and data table will have no information to display. Make sure your payroll or compensation data is up to date before using this feature
How to compare payroll concepts
- On your sidebar, go to Finance
- Select Financial Workspace
- Open the Compensation tab
- Open the Payroll concepts filters
- Select up to 3 payroll concepts to compare their evolution directly in the chart
Each selected concept will appear as a separate line in the chart, with a distinct color and a legend identifying which color corresponds to which concept. Any other filters active in Financial Workspace — such as date range, legal entity, or department — will also apply to the chart and data table.
Keep in mind
- If you select more than 3 payroll concepts, a warning message will appear in the chart indicating that too many concepts are selected. The chart will not display the data, but the table below will still show the figures for all selected concepts and can be downloaded.
- If a concept has no data for the selected period, it can still be selected. It will not appear in the chart, but it will show up in the data table with zero values — useful when you need a complete view of all concepts for reporting purposes.
