Factorial's Surveys feature allows you to gather feedback from employees through customizable surveys. You can use pre-designed templates or create your own surveys to assess various aspects like employee satisfaction, engagement, and workplace climate.
How to create a survey?
- In your sidebar, go to Engagement
- Select Surveys
- Click on the + New Survey
- Select create your own custom survey or create surveys in workflows

Create your own survey
- Choose the name for the survey
- Select participants
- Click on create survey

Dynamic Groups will automatically add all members of a selected group such as:
- Team
- Workplace
Once saved, there is no option to edit this selection and you cannot remove users from the list
It can happen that a user disappears from the list, but this would only happen if we move that user to another office or group.
How to set up a custom survey?

Configuration
- Basic info: Provide details to easily identify this survey.
- Date and frequency:Modify the date, duration and frequency settings of the survey.
- Privacy settings: Set whether responses will be anonymous.
- Answers availability: Set when responses will be available.
- Editors: Editors can modify questions and view results. Admins have full access.

Questionnaire
Add questions for participants to answer. You can create a new question or a section or questions.

Participants
Add the employees you want to add to the survey.

Analytics
Here you can see raw results or the summary of the surveys.

When the survey is ready to launch, go to the top right corner and click on the “launch survey” button.

Create surveys in workflows
You can automate the delivery of surveys by linking them to workflows in Factorial. This allows you to collect feedback at the right moment—without manual effort.
Surveys can be added to the following types of workflows:
- Onboarding workflows: Automatically send a survey to new hires at any point during their onboarding process.
- Offboarding workflows: Trigger exit surveys when an employee is leaving the company.
- Custom workflows: Create your own workflows (e.g., for internal mobility, training completion, role changes) and send surveys as part of those steps.
