You arrive at the office, you drink coffee ️☕, and you start to receive an accumulation of tasks to do during the day. Now, It's time to take out your notebook to write that looong to-do list. But deep down, you know that having a journal in the 21st century is old-fashioned. Needless to say that it is also a shame for our environment. 🌳
For this and other reasons, Factorial has worked hard to find an ideal solution. No more waste of paper, time, and uncleared handwriting! We are bringing now to all our customers the new feature TASKS.
Through your employee account, you will find a new section called TASKS; once here, you will be able to create your tasks. On the other hand, for managers, administrators, and team leaders accounts, you'll be able to assign tasks to your employees.
How can I create a new task?
- Go to the Tasks section, which you will find in your user menu on the left.
- Click on the "+" button that you will find above in the right frame of your screen.
- A pop-up will appear, where you can create your task. You will see that it gives you the option to self-assign it or assign it to a teammate of your team to whom you report.
- Confirm the task, and that's it! You will see that your task will be assigned to you on the task board.
You can see that in each task created, one will have the option to check to who is assigned, the date of completion of the task, and who created it.
What do I do when I have finished a task?
Easy, easy, easy. Once you have finished the task, if you click on the box that you can find on the left, you will notice that the task will be crossed out, this means that it has already been completed.
Who can assign tasks to your board?
Only your manager, the administrator, and yourself can add tasks to your board. The account manager and administrator can create tasks from their boards and assign them to you, or they can also go to your user profile from Employees> Employee> Tasks and assign them directly to your board.
It must also be taken into account that when one has created a task for an employee when that employee decides to finish that task, one will receive an email from the creator of the task.
An interesting point for you to know, when you start having a considerable volume of tasks, you can filter the tasks according to:
- All tasks
- Tasks completed
- Tasks to be completed
In the image below, you will see that in the header of your tasks, you have the option to filter the tasks.
By filtering through any of the three available filters, you will get a general view of your: completed tasks, to be completed, or all the tasks that you have created on your board.
In case you are an administrator, you can create templates to collect a group of tasks so you can assign them to your employees. To learn how you can create task templates, and see a specific case of use, you can click here and read our article.
