Create Custom Reports with Factorial

Take advantage of all the information you store in Factorial to run HR Reports that will allow you to measure and make decisions based on data. 

💰 Only Enterprise Plans can create Custom Reports. Other plans will only be able to view the Default Reports from the Report Library. 

1. Visualize or Create your own Dashboards 

💡 Factorial offers you the ability to create your dashboards and store reports within them on a number of various topics.

⇒ How can I Create a Dashboard?  

  • Press on + Create Dashboard - 📍 Located in the upper right corner
  • Fill in the required fields 
  • Click on Create (14)

⇒ How Can I add Filters to Dashboards?

1️⃣. Create the filter from the Dashboard and then you will need to add this filter to the report. It will be from the dashboard where you will be able to filter reports. 

  • Press in Add new filter
  • Introduce a name 
  • Select the type:  Date, text or team.
    🔺 When filtering by date you must enter a start and end date. 
  • You must select a default value to create the filter correctly. For example: one of your company's teams. 

(👩‍🏫I will show you through an example how to use these filters. In the gif you will see that I have selected the Teams option, I do this because I will want to filter the report but by teams.) (11)

2️⃣. As mentioned before, the next step would be to add the filter inside the report.

  • Access the report 
  • In Filters, look for Employees>Teams
  • Select the condition equal 
  • Activate "use dashboard filter" 
  • Press in Save to Dashboard (12)

3️⃣. Finally, go to the Dashboard and use the filter created to filter the report by teams. (19)

2. Create your Custom Reports 

  • Head to the Dashboard where you will be creating your custom report 
  • Press in +Add New Report-📍 Located in the upper right corner.
    You will have the option to add new reports by:
    ⏺  Chose from Library 
    ⏺  Use Report Builder 
    ⏺  Using SQL editor (💰 only available for enterprise plans). 
  • When pressing report builder, you will then have to: 
    1) Name the report 
    2) Select the type of report 

◻ Bar Graph
◻ Pie Chart

◻ Area Chart 

◻ Line Graph

◻ Data Table
◻ Metric

💡 Once you have selected the report type, you will be able to start introducing data and filters to create your custom report. You will see how it will develop. And when you're done, simply click on: Save to Dashboard  (📍 Located in the upper right corner).

3. Export all Reports from the Dashboard 

  • Simply press in the (...) - 📍 Located in the upper right corner
  • Click on download all (.xlsx)

3.1. Export One Report from the Dashboard 

  • Simply press in the (...) - 📍 Located in the upper right corner
  • Select download report with (.csv) or (.xlsx) format.

4. Delete your Dashboards 

  • Head to an specific dashboard
  • Press in the (...) 
  • Select Delete (13)
